In the 1850s, flaming redhead and portrait photographer, Nadar, quickly rose to international fame for his uncanny ability to subtly and precisely capture a subject's true character. His deep intuition for emotion and expression allowed him to surpass the lackluster portraits of competitors and lean into fleeting glances, silent mannerisms, and elusive personas.
